Bournville Rugby Football Club was formed in 1909. The club’s core values are about working in the community and it is dedicated to teaching young people the values of honesty, integrity, commitment, and hard work through sport. The club operates three senior men’s teams, a ladies team, a veterans team and a full range of junior teams.
Fast forward over 100 years and as well as winning on the field-of-play, Bournville RFC’s vital community work continues to go from strength to strength. Moving to their new home at Avery Fields on Sandon Road in 2018 has given the club the opportunity to engage in some untapped territory and with the help of the RFU youth officers, six local secondary schools have already signed up for coaching and will use the new ground for rugby festivals.
The club relies on the support of individuals and the business community to help it continue to make a difference.
